Cookies and browser storage
Cookies store information in your browser that can be sent with requests to a website. Local storage can remember information between visits. Session storage supports the current browser tab. Lynx uses these technologies for the purposes described below.
Basket and checkout
Local storage remembers the product variants and quantities in your basket. Checkout also uses session storage for payment-return information and manual bank-transfer instructions. Removing this information may affect basket persistence or your ability to resume an order in that browser.
Account sessions
Customer and affiliate account sessions use session storage to support authenticated access. Browser storage also signals account changes between tabs. Supabase provides the underlying authentication service.
Acknowledgements and offers
Session storage records your research-use acknowledgement and whether the first-order offer has been dismissed. This avoids repeating those prompts during the session. It is separate from your order’s acknowledgement record.
Affiliate referrals
Following a valid affiliate referral can set a signed, first-party cookie to associate an eligible order with the affiliate. This supports attribution and commission administration. The cookie is secured against access by website scripts.
Optional analytics
Google Analytics 4 is loaded only after you accept analytics. It helps us understand site visits and shopping activity. Google advertising signals and advertising personalisation are disabled in the storefront configuration.
Your analytics preference is stored locally. After a purchase is tracked with consent, a local marker helps avoid counting the same transaction twice. Checkout names, email addresses, delivery addresses, postcodes, phone numbers, welcome codes and payment identifiers are not sent to Google Analytics.
Changing your preferences
Use Cookie preferences in the footer or the control below to change your analytics choice when analytics is configured. You can accept or reject optional analytics.
Your browser settings can remove or block cookies and browser storage. Clearing them may remove your basket, session and saved preference, and prompts may appear again.
Other services
Optional checkout address suggestions send entered address text to Google Places. Payment and authentication services process information needed for the features you choose. See our Privacy Policy for the providers involved and how personal information is used.
